This a relatively new company, only having been established since 2010,
the small Studio staff of 3-4 create viral advertisements for businesses as well
as recently branching into a television series for Cbeebies, created from conception
to completion by Beakus.

The studio works as a team of a producer, production manager and a number of directors who are inconsistently present at the studio. The roles however are often interchanged inbetween in a very informal manner. This allows each member of staff to focus on what task they feel best suits them.
it is unrealistic for this to work in a larger working environment. The studio hires young directing talent, most of them being under twenty five and when not directing, work on other projects within the studio, which creates a core team. I believe this creates a healthy work ethic as all of the members were friendly and confident around each other, willing to be opinionated and not intimated by each other.
For Beakus one of the strengths is that they would hold meetings with all members of staff when showing productions and ask for improvements and opinions which gives a sense of feeling important which drastically helps motivation to work.
One of the weaknesses was that they needed to take almost every project they're approached with as there's a strong instability of work consistency and they take it all whilst they can, in fear of a draught of clients. As a freelancer, this could be worrying if i was part of beakus' regular staff rotation.
i felt i performed fairly well. I enjoyed the job which encouraged me to show up early and leave late. I believe this was due to the informal attitude which encouraged you to give the time you could and leave when best suited you which i extremely appreciated. The fact the studio was small and the staff so friendly, i felt like it was more important to help with my time and felt obliged to do whatever was possible to make production go easier. My job at beakus was to search for new clients as well as time coding shorts. I found that the work was limited and as a result i needed to pace myself more.
The main conclusion i came to about my personal development was that i need to be willing to adapt to several aspects of the job in order to enjoy it, as i quite enjoyed doing spreadsheets and research, as well as colouring and clean up in favour to just animation.
